METROSIMPOSIO also intends to integrate the Colombians students of Engineering and Technologies applicable to projects in metropolitan and suburban trains, in a space that will allow citizens to socialize with the state of the art technologies, both nationally and internationally.

BACKGROUND

In August 2009 the Mayor of Bogota issued the decision of the first line of the Metro de Bogotá (http://www.movilidadbogota.gov.co) Under the government plan "BOGOTA POSITIVE FOR BETTER LIVING."

In turn, in February 2009, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh announced the implementation of commuter rail project to transform the system of mobility of the Sabana de Bogotá (http://www.cundinamarca.gov.co). These events mark a milestone in the fate of the largest infrastructure project in Colombia in the recent past and projected positioning of Bogotá and the Sabana de Bogotá and cultural tourist destination and world class. Because of these large infrastructure projects, citizenship is debating the impact of engineering on the welfare of Bogotá and the Sabana de Bogotá.
