CHINA ACADEMIC AUTORITY IN BOGOTA

Mr. Bin Ning, PhD, President of Beijing Jiaoton University visited the city of Bogotá (Colombia) in May 2010 to participate as a lecturer in METROSIMPOSIO the first international symposium of engineering for the Bogota metro and the Sabana de Bogotá railway system. At Cundinamarca Government Building, Mr. Ning spoke about the intelligence communications system developed by his research team for high-speed trains in China. Dr. Ning is member of IEEE Intelligent Transport Society and has written several technical articles published in IeeeXplore and other scientific databases. Again we express our gratitude for his "long march" to visit Bogota.

El Doctor Bin Ning, Rector de La Universidad de las Comunicaciones de Beijin (Beijin Jiaoton University) visitó la ciudad De Bogotá en mayo del 2010 para participar como conferencista Internacional en METROSIMPOSIO, el primer simposio de ingeniería para el metro de Bogotá y el tren de cercanías de la Sabana de Bogotá, en la Gobernación de Cundinamarca. El Doctor Ning disertó sobre el sistema inteligente de comunicaciones desarrollado por su grupo de investigaciones para los trenes de alta velocidad de China.

El Doctor Ning es miembro de IEEE Intelligent Transport Society y ha escrito varios artículos técnicos publicados en IeeeXplore y otras bases de datos científicos. Uno de sus escitos es "802.11g-based CBTC Train-ground Communication Subsystem Modeling and Analysis"

Extended time to send proposals to METROSIMPOSIO, until 13th, April.

Se extiende hasta el 13 de abril el plazo para presentar ponencia, artículo y poster en METROSIMPOSIO.

El requisito de participación es enviar un artículo de cuatro páginas, escrito en el formato a dos columnas (IEEE), en inglés o en español, al correo metrosimposio@metromovilidadbogota.org y registrar sus datos en el portal

www.metromovilidadbogota.org

Los artículos seleccionadas recibirán invitación a presentar póster el 7 y 8 de mayo del 2010 en la Gobernación de Cundinamarca. Los póster serán exhibidos en exposiciones intinerantes posteriores al simposio en otras instituciones educativas y oficiales. Los quince mejores trabajos recibirán obsequios y certificaciones y sus trabajos serán publicados con la norma ISBN.

250 mil millones de pesos anuales, para Metro, Tren y TransMilenio, girará el Gobierno desde 2017

Construcción de sistemas masivos de transporte, como el de la imagen -metro de Santiago de Chile- podrán ser una realidad en la capital colombiana, luego del anuncio hecho ayer por el Gobierno.

Así lo anunció el presidente Álvaro Uribe Vélez y precisó que ese aporte será indefinido, a partir de esa fecha, por los años que se necesiten.

METROSIMPOSIO

OBJECTIVE

The aim of METROSIMPOSIO is to promote exchange of experiences in academic and research and engineering technologies for the mass transit system subway to Bogota and the Sabana de Bogotá and in turn offer you a high-impact cultural event to the city and region. METROSIMPOSIO also intends to integrate the Colombians students of Engineering and Technologies applicable to projects in metropolitan and suburban trains, in a space that will allow citizens to socialize with the state of the art technologies, both nationally and internationally.

BACKGROUND

In August 2009 the Mayor of Bogota issued the decision of the first line of the Metro de Bogotá (http://www.movilidadbogota.gov.co) Under the government plan "BOGOTA POSITIVE FOR BETTER LIVING."

In turn, in February 2009, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh announced the implementation of commuter rail project to transform the system of mobility of the Sabana de Bogotá (http://www.cundinamarca.gov.co). These events mark a milestone in the fate of the largest infrastructure project in Colombia in the recent past and projected positioning of Bogotá and the Sabana de Bogotá and cultural tourist destination and world class. Because of these large infrastructure projects, citizenship is debating the impact of engineering on the welfare of Bogotá and the Sabana de Bogotá.

Distrital University Francisco José de Caldas is pleased to announce the first Symposium on Engineering and Technologies for the Metro Bogota METROSIMPOSIO, On April 30 and May 1, 2010, in the halls of the University District.

Given the technical and academic "METROSIMPOSIO" in your organization follow the rules for international events of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers or Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), the unionization of the world's largest engineering over 350 thousand members (www.ieee.org).

It is scheduled METROSIMPOSIO transmission via Internet to remote audiences the local municipalities of Bogota and Municipalities of La Sabana de Bogotá, also at the different sites of the University District and other educational institutions through the transmission of television signals IPTV ; for socialization of content and knowledge with the public symposium.
